Your Three Month Old Baby's Development [Video]

Video on Your Three Month Old Baby's Development
Your three month old baby loves smiling at people that she is familiar with. The imitation of your facial expressions may become lesser as she tries developing some of her own. Although crying is one way of communicating with you, she uses other ways as well. Just like how she imitated your facial expressions, the three month old will now imitate and react to your voice. She may continue to have some of the initial reflexes such as an initial startle or tight grasp of your finger. The muscle tones relax more at this stage. She finds her hands interesting and considers them as a new toy. She opens her fists for the first time at this stage. She may reach out at an object an even grab them once in a while. The three month old can also follow a moving object. Her neck muscles gain more strength and her head can move more independently. Remember to vary your baby's positions during play and give her more tummy time when she is awake. Her arms and legs move more rapidly. Although, she is not steady on her legs as yet, your three month old can bear some weight on her legs.
