Your Four Month Old Baby's Development [Video]

Video on Your Four Month Old Baby's Development
Your four month old will smile and laugh at faces and bright colours. His muscles are toning up and he moves his arms and legs rapidly. He loves being pulled to a sitting position. He can bear some weight on his legs and has good neck control. Although your four month old may not get into a sitting position by himself, he can lift his head and chest off the ground. He may also soon start rolling over. Giving him a lot of tummy time when he is awake helps him to practise these skills. He may hold his fists together towards the middle of the chest and then move them towards his mouth. This indicates that your baby's brain is maturing. He can follow an object at an angle of 180 degree from one side to the other. He can reach back and forth at objects that he finds interesting. Your four month old will now mostly be cooing and squealing with an occasional high pitch screech. He may be able to entertain himself for a brief period of time.
