Playing with Your Six Month Old [Video]

Video on Playing with Your Six Month Old
Your six month old baby is very responsive and increasingly attentive to her surroundings. She develops new language and fine motor skills. Talk and sing to your baby. To help your baby start talking, begin reading to her. Board books and nursery rhymes are great books to start with. Point out people and objects that your toddler encounters often along with the sounds made by the objects. Do this over and over again to help your toddler pick up her language fundamentals and slowly words. Give your little explorer soft toys to play. Toys that respond to your baby's touch such as squeaky toys and rattles are a great idea. You can also consider getting toys with knobs that can be turned, and hanging toys that she can manipulate by grasping for your six month old. Place your baby in front of a mirror and see how fascinated she can be by her own reflection. You may even see your toddler smiling at your reflection in the mirror.
