Video on Playing with Your Nine Month Old Baby
Your nine month old baby interacts with you and your toys. He listens attentively to what you say and can partly understand you. Start him on language activities by identifying body parts, and naming favourite objects and toys. Help him learn his animals through a picture book. Point out pictures of family members and animals and also point them out in person. Gradually he will associate words with people, places and things. Peek-a-boo is a good game to play with your nine month old. This is a great game in helping your baby relieve himself of separation anxiety. Slowly he will learn to pull the blanket covering your face. This gives her a sense of self-control. He will now be able to clap his hands. Get him a variety of toys such as bath toys, pop up toys and blocks. Shape sorters and musical instruments also make great toys for your baby.
