Welcome to Pregnancy Week 38.
You may find increased pressure on your bladder and cervix because of the baby's head positioning. This pressure may make you feel like passing urine often. You may feel a buzzing sensation in your vagina when your baby moves his head against your pelvic muscles. Your weight gain may have stopped or you may have lost a little weight. You may feel very tired and uncomfortable.
You can keep your hospital bag ready and talk to the doctor about the Apgar test for your baby to determine his overall health, reflexes and colour after delivery. This is usually done within a minute after birth.
The baby continues growing at a slower rate and accumulates fat. He continues passing meconium that is primarily composed of amniotic fluid and also contains the dead cells from the skin and intestines and the lanugo hair that starts dropping from the baby.
If your baby is a boy, his testicles have completely moved into the scotrum. In case of a girl, her labia are completely developed.
