Changes During Pregnancy - Week 35

Mother

You may find yourself elevated with high energy levels. You tend to clean up things and keep the surroundings tidy.

Some of you may experience slightly stronger sensations of Braxton Hicks. These are usually painless and irregular. If you find them occurring frequently and are painful, contact your doctor immediately to check for preterm labour.

You may find yourself experiencing wild mood swings. Take a break and relax whenever you can. Consider having a pregnancy massage to relieve you of fatigue and mild pains and swellings.

You can start deciding about who should be present with you at the time of delivery.

Baby

Your baby continues gaining weight like before and has usually positioned himself right for delivery. His head will rest on your pubic bone. If he has positioned himself in any way other than the head down position, it is called breech. Fat continues being deposited on his body and is more on the shoulders.

His fetal movements may decrease considerably but are stronger and more powerful because of his large size. He finds himself cramped and restricted inside the uterus because of his size. His sucking reflexes are usually fully developed to help him start breast feeding soon after he is born.
