Male Infertility Tests

The fertility specialist will gather information from you and your spouse on your medical history, family medical history, gynaecological history (for the woman) etc. to identify possible causes. The couple must visit the doctor together. The doctor may also perform a physical examination of you and your spouse. In the absence of a stand-out reason, the doctor may recommend more tests to be done.

The tests for male fertility involve a checkup of the penis and the testes as well as the path through which the semen travels. The primary lab test performed is Semen Analyis. Infertility testing usually begins with the male because the tests are less complicated than the female. The articles in this section walk you through the different types of tests done to evaluate male fertility.
