Some points you can keep in mind when you do your shopping are:
1) Do not spend too much on newborn clothes as your baby will outgrow them very soon.
2) Consider keeping a few feeding bottles ready in case you find feeding from breast a problem.
3) Check for safety compliances for baby furniture like his cribs and cots.
4) Read various reviews about strollers, prams etc. before you decide to buy out.
