Is it okay to allow my 5 year old to play video games? My husband does not feel anything wrong. But I personally feel that it would be better for him to read books, play with friends or engage himself with other creative puzzles. Please advise.

I totally understand and agree with you. But I guess since video games are the in thing now, you can allow him to occasionally have a go at such games so long as they do not depict any form of violence or other things inappropriate for his age.
