Smoking and fertility

My husband is a chain smoker. :( I would like to know if this can affect his fertility. We have been trying hard for the past 6 years with no luck. Can this be a reason? I actually cleared all the tests that my doctor required me to take. So, I know that I do not have a problem.

I am not too sure but I think smoking can certainly be a reason. I read in a book (sorry not to remember the name) that smoking can damage the size and shape of the sperm. So, may be that could be the problem with your husband's sperms. Please convince him to quit smoking at once.
