I am the mother of a bubbly two year old toddler. Can anyone tell me when I can introduce my son to the world of alphabets and numbers? At present he enjoys singing the Alphabet song along with me. Also what is the right time to start reading stories and nursery rhymes to him?

You can get started with numbers and alphabets right away. But do not despair if he does not appear to write them with perfection. You can also teach him to identify these in an alphabet book or number book. As for reading, I began reading nursery rhymes and stories to her right from when she was about 1.5 years old. Remember to get books with bright big pictures. These will help to get her attention.
