I hold a very good position in a reputed company. I am due for labour in a week's time. Do you think I should give up my job to look after the baby? Have any working mothers faced a similar problem?

yes, I too faced this situation but there is nothing to worry.. as every company gives maternity leaves.. and that time is enough to settle down both for baby and new mom.. And if you feel, you need some more time for your baby then it is entirely your call.. you can take a break from your job too for some time.. say 6 months or so.. this will help you give max time to your baby.. and it is good too.. for now I will advise you not to take stress.. and enjoy this time.. as it will not come back :) And start shopping for your baby.. .they need a whole lot of stuff.. ;) I have a complete room for my baby and her cupboard is just filled with her stuff

I would try to breastfeed while going to work if I were you. You just need a portable breast pump that you express milk with while at the office. I recommend Ameda Breast Pumps.

I've also had those scenario. In this generation quitting job is not easy and I know that I needed to take care of my daughter, but with the use of use of hands free pumping bra it turn out to be a good result. I'm stress free and I've given the nourishment that I could give to my daughter. Hope you could also buy one and use even if your working.

Hey there! I took my entire leave of six months maternity leave after my baby was born. You can also consider a work from home option. Remember a mother's love cannot be replaced by anyone. The baby also feels more secure with the mother soon after s/he is born. - Heera.
