Please suggest some ways to get rid of my one year old baby's cold and cough. It is very sad to see her suffer.

My pediatrician advised me to apply Vicks gently on my son's nose and give him only lukewarm liquids to drink. He also told me to give Rahul a cold compress but I did not have to do it.

I give my baby a teaspoon of honey with crushed ginger twice or thrice a day. The last time I did this, she was back to normal in two days.
