I am carrying my third baby and am 12 weeks pregnant. My first delivery was twins. I would like to know if deciding to bottle feed the little one right from the start is a good idea. I breast fed my daughters and developed mastitis twice. I also had breast implants done through incisions in my areola only 4 months back. I know breast feeding is best for my baby but I am worried the infection will spread to my son. Anyone out there to help me make a choice?

Breast is best of course. I think breast feeding your baby should not cause any problems. If you are still really concerned about the infection, why don't you express your milk using a breast pump and feed it using a bottle? You can feed him partly with formula and partly with your milk. My doctor always says that breast feeding helps to cure infected breasts!
