I am 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby and am so excited. When do you think is the best time for me to informy my manager about my maternity leave?

first of all... Congratulations :) :) I think you can inform them by 6- 7 month, I dont think there will be any problem.. rest depends on your company policies etc.. BTW as you are pregnant you should take better care of yourself now and try to be stress free too.. and start reading about baby care tips and related things as this will help you in future.. I recently started following babeezworld.com a website which gives some cool tips to new moms like you and me...

I told my boss that I will be taking off work when I was 25 weeks pregnant with my little Bini. I think anytime is okay but I think you wouldn't want to put it off till the last minute. How about sometime towards the start of the third trimester?
